Local Lots uses customer information to operate local liquidation events, verify accounts, process purchases, coordinate pickup, and send customer-requested updates.

Information We Collect

• Account details such as name, phone number, email address, and verification status.
• Purchase, bid, watchlist, payment, pickup, and customer-support records.
• SMS consent records, including whether you opted in to auction or lot-start messages and where that opt-in occurred.
• Technical and security information such as session records, IP address, device/browser details, and fraud-prevention signals.

How We Use Information

• To send one-time login and account-security verification text messages.
• To send optional auction and new-lot text messages only when you choose to opt in.
• To run auctions, Buy Now purchases, pickup scheduling, receipts, payment support, and customer service.
• To protect the service, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our terms.

SMS Privacy

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share end-user information, mobile numbers, or SMS consent records with third parties or affiliates for marketing, promotional, lead generation, or analytics purposes.

We may use service providers to process information solely for Local Lots operations, such as SMS delivery, account verification, email delivery, payment processing, hosting, security, and support. These providers are not allowed to use your information for their own marketing, lead generation, or analytics purposes.

Text Message Choices

Account verification texts are used to confirm access to your phone number. Auction and new-lot marketing texts are optional and require a separate opt-in. You can opt out of optional Local Lots text messages at any time by replying STOP to the Local Lots messaging number. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

Payments

Payment card details are handled by our payment processor. Local Lots stores payment references and transaction records, but does not store full card numbers.

Retention and Security

We keep information for as long as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, comply with tax, accounting, messaging, and legal requirements, and maintain security records. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate for a local commerce platform.

Your Choices

You may update account profile details in your account. You may opt out of optional text messages by replying STOP. You may also ask us to review, correct, or delete information when deletion is not prevented by transaction, legal, security, or compliance requirements.
